Here’s what’s new so far in iOS 6 beta 3. Let us know if you find anything else:
-There is a new Maps section in Settings for controlling unit labels (miles or kilometers), label sizes, and label language. Users are also able to now control the volume of turn-by-turn navigation.
-Safari now has glyphs for bookmarks, reading list, and history instead of worded labels.
-Reading list sync icon in the Safari menu bar on iPad
Evolution of maps from beta 1 to 2 to 3.
-As highlighted by MacRumors, users can now have iCloud email addresses at @icloud.com, not only @me.com.
- Also auto brightness seems to work now , not unless you go to the Pass Book app .
-New settings for Maps: Allows Customization of Volume, Distances, Map Labels
- Apple’s must-maligned voice recognition software continues to evolve in iOS 6.
In the latest beta, Siri is now an available option for AssistiveTouch, Apple’s built-in technology for those that have difficulty touching the screen or require an adaptive accessory. In this case, users can create gesturing tools with Siri in mind.
This follows previously announced changes to Siri, including integration of sports and movie listing capabilities.
- Podcast : Finally, remember the “redeem” button in Apple’s Podcast app in iOS 6 beta 2? It’s gone in the latest beta. This could either mean fee-based podcastsare not coming with iOS 6, or, at least with this beta, Apple has eliminated the option for testing purposes.
We’re actively looking for more iOS 6 beta 3 features and will keep you updated.
Apple is expected to unveil iOS 6 to the public later this fall.
