SloPro : Shoot Professional Quality slow motion video [ Review] (Major Update)

A new application in the App Store – SloPro – gives you the ability to shoot professional quality slow motion video right from your iOS device.
Even better, if you’re shooting with your iPhone 4S, you get incredible 60fps. What this means is your slow motion video won’t be choppy. It’ll be smooth just like you’d expect to see in a movie.
Your other iOS devices will be 30fps.

SloPro is so simple to use, and offers you four recording speeds. Normal, Slow, Slower and Slowest. But what’s great is you don’t need to think about what setting you want to use before you shoot. Just launch the app and start taking video because once you’re done, you can choose which speed best suits the situation.
You can even edit video clips to include slow motion in only a portion of the entire video.
Here’s a video review and showcase of SloPro in action. (by iPhoneinCanada.ca)

So as you saw, this app is not only really simple to use, it’s a really cool app as well.
As I mentioned, it would be nice to be able to import video you haven’t shot using the SloPro app so you could slow it down, but hopefully that’s something the developers are working on.

SloPro is free in the App Store , but your videos will include a watermark and you won’t be able to save your videos to your Camrera Roll. You’ll still be able to share them over social media.
You can get the full feature version of SloPro for only $1.99

UPDATE : SloPro just got updated to version 2.0 which allows you to shoot at a wooping 1000 fps .. that's a lot of improvements - from 60 to 1000.

With the new Video feed, you can watch and share slow motion videos created by other users around the world. Another nice feature that comes in version 2.0, is the ability to import videos from your iPhone video gallery and iTunes. Meaning now you can shoot using other apps and add slow motion effects to it.

This update also brings full iPad support so you can edit those imported videos with ease. As mentioned previously, version 2.0 also adds iPhone 3GS support. Of course, you will not be able to record videos at a true 60fps or anything more than that on the iPad or iPhone 3GS/4, but it does simulate slow motion. The iPhone 4S is the only device that can record at true 60fps using the app.

SloPro 2.0 is currently available in the App Store for free. Trust me, the 1000fps videos look amazing and thanks to easy editing options, you too can create amazing slow motion videos of your skateboard tricks, jumping from the roof, splashing into a pool, or being run over by a bike. Try it out and tell us what you think of it in the comments section.
