iOS 6 Features: Mail.app

With iOS 6 due to be showcased by Apple on June 11th, we thought we would put some of our most wanted features down for each of the stock apps. As I have to maintain more than 10 email addresses, I am going to start with the Mail.app.
Don’t get me wrong, over the years Apple has vastly improved the Mail.app giving us a unified inbox and threaded conversations, but it is far from feature rich.

Mark all as read
It still escapes me as to why this feature still hasn’t been added to iOS, it isn’t a big ask, is it? Yes we have a mark button as such but you still have to trawl through selecting individual emails before you decide what you want to do with them. This would get rid of one the biggest annoyances for me personally, what about you?

Adding media to an email
Again this is one of those features that, after 5 years, still hasn’t been implemented to it’s fullest potential. It isn’t impossible to add a photo or video to an email, but it requires you either copying the item before composing the email or choosing to email the item from the Camera/Photos app. There is simply no way to add in media on the fly, which is especially annoying if you are replying to an email.

HTML Signatures
This isn’t impossible, I have already proved that when I released SIGnify for jailbroken devices, and Apple has made it possible to add portions of rich text formatting into emails too. With the correct formatting it is easy to create a beautiful HTML signature, so there is no reason why Apple can’t implement this, I doubt there are any security risks by doing so. While they are at it, lets have different signatures for different email addresses.
Having just these features added would make me happy but I am sure that there are some of you wanting more. Why not drop us a comment below and tell us what you want from the Mail.app in iOS 6.
