iOS 5.1.1 JailBreak Popular Despite Errors

Chronic-Dev, LLC, creator of the latest iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak reported that 973,086 Apple devices had been jailbroken since the latest release of Absinthe just last week. That’s a number that’s rather high, but the latest jailbreak’s introduction hasn’t been entirely smooth.A number of users have experienced an error, according to a report from ValueWalk.com. A popup reads “(Error detecting device (Error -5).” The same report also noted it stated “Could not connect to lockdown” as well.......

However, the problem has only inflicted a small number of systems and prompted Chronic-Dev to release an updated version of the jailbreak platform. However, that update reportedly failed to fix the error for some, said ValueWalk.com.
iOS 5.1.1 was rolled out by the Cupertino, California-based company earlier this month. Meanwhile, it’s been rumored that the next release of the iPhone will include an increased screen size. Jailbreaking iOS devices is legal under U.S. law. However, Apple has emphasized that it violates its user policy, something that could prompt a conflict in regards to device warranties.
